Where Our Story Began
Our love for Bernedoodles grew from a simple goal: finding an incredible family dog with the temperament, intelligence, and personality we valued most. Over the years, our family had experience with many different breeds, including Golden Retrievers, Poodles, Yorkies, Bernese Mountain Dogs, and Labrador Retrievers. Through those experiences, we discovered the qualities we loved most in a family companion—and began exploring how those traits could come together in the Bernedoodle.
Launching Happily Ever After Doodles
Happily Ever After Doodles was founded in 2019 with a vision to raise exceptional family companions. We were drawn to Bernedoodles because they bring together so many of the qualities we value—the affectionate, loyal nature of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the intelligence, trainability, and coat qualities of the Poodle. From the beginning, our goal has been to thoughtfully pair our parent dogs and raise healthy, well-socialized puppies with wonderful temperaments. What began with a love for these incredible dogs has grown into a breeding program dedicated to helping families across the country find a puppy they’ll love for years to come.
Discovering the Perfect Colors
As our breeding program developed, we became fascinated by the incredible variety of colors, markings, and coat types possible in Bernedoodles. We carefully selected parent dogs with genetics that could produce everything from classic Traditional Tri-Color puppies to striking Merle patterns and unique eye colors. While appearance is only one part of what makes a great Bernedoodle, thoughtfully selecting for beautiful coats alongside health and temperament has become an important part of the Happily Ever After Doodles breeding program.

Today, Happily Ever After Doodles is focused on raising healthy, happy, and well-socialized Bernedoodle puppies for families across the country. We specialize in F1, F2, F1B, and Multigenerational Bernedoodles, with an emphasis on thoughtful pairings, health-tested parent dogs, early socialization, and preparing each puppy for a successful transition into their new home. For families who live farther away, our trusted Flight Nanny service makes it possible to safely welcome a Happily Ever After Doodles puppy from nearly anywhere in the U.S. Our commitment doesn’t end when your puppy goes home—we’re here to support our families throughout the journey.
